Membership

The International Association of Administrative Professionals is a not-for-profit professional association for office professionals with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide. The association founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff. The association's name was changed in 1998 to the International Association of Administrative Professionals to encompass the large number of varied administrative job titles and recognize the advancing role of administrative staff in business and government.

Membership Classifications

Professional Member - A currently employed (or within the last two years) administrative professional or a holder of the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) rating, or an employed teacher of business education.

International dues for professional members are $83 per year.  Please be advised that there is a one-time processing fee of $15 for new members.  Ohio Division dues of $8 have been waived for new members during the 2009-2010 IAAP year. Chapter dues vary by Chapter; contact the Chapter President for more information.

Student Member - A full-time student in business education.  Limited to four years in this category.

International dues for student members are $50 per year.  Please be advised that there is a one-time processing fee of $15 for new members.  Ohio Division dues of $8 have been waived for new members during the 2009-2010 IAAP year. Chapter dues vary by Chapter; contact the Chapter President for more information.

Associate Member - An individual from a business or educational institution that sustains the objectives of IAAP.

International dues for associate members are $180.  Please be advised that there is a one-time processing fee of $15 for new members.
